There were ten Pennsylvania poker rooms before the pandemic. Of those, eight have reopened and a new poker room opened in December 2021. The poker rooms range from small to large ones that deal major events. Most Pennsylvania poker tables have eight or nine seats.

Hollywood Casino at the Meadows poker room

The Hollywood Casino at the Meadows poker room has seven tables. The poker room opens at 10am daily. It closes at midnight Sunday through Thursday and 2am on weekends.  

No limit hold’em and pot limit Omaha games of varying limits run most hours that the poker room is open. The blinds are usually 1/3 and 2/5.

Tournaments are suspended at the Meadows poker room. There were two daily tournaments before the pandemic. Most were no limit hold’em.

Live! Casino Philadelphia poker room

There are 29 tables at the Live! Casino Philadelphia poker room. It is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The two most common games are 1/3 and 2/5 no limit Texas hold’em. The buy-in is $100 to $300 at 1/3 and $300 to $1,000 at 2/5. There may be some pot limit Omaha games running. There are 10 poker tournaments every week. There is at least one daily.

Live! Casino Pittsburgh poker room

The Live! Casino Pittsburgh poker room opened in December 2021. The room has seven tables. There are eight seats per table. It is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Its main game is 1/3 no limit Texas hold’em. There is a daily poker tournament.

Mohegan Sun Pocono poker room

There are nine tables in the Mohegan Sun Pocono poker room. It is open from noon until 3am daily. The most common game is 1/2 no limit Texas hold’em with a buy-in of $100 to $500. There may be a higher no limit hold’em game or a small fixed limit one during busier hours. 

The Mohegan Sun Pocono poker room deals five tournaments every week. There is a $105 no limit hold’em tournament at noon on Fridays and Sundays and 7pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. The Friday 7pm tournament is the same but adds a $25 bounty.

Mount Airy poker room

There are 12 tables in the Mount Airy poker room. It is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. 

The game that is spread around the clock is 1/2 no limit Texas hold’em. It has a buy-in of $60 to $300. There may be a larger no limit game or a small fixed limit one when it is busy. There are no tournaments at the Mount Airy poker room.

Parx poker room

The Parx poker room hosts 48 tables. It is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. 

There is always a large variety of games available at the Parx poker room. No limit Texas hold’em starts at 1/3 blinds with a $100 to $500 buy-in. Other standard limits are 2/5 and 10/10. There is often pot limit Omaha and fixed limit hold’em, Omaha Hi/Lo, stud and mixed games. 

Tournaments are currently suspended in the Parx poker room. There was a no limit hold’em tournament daily except Fridays during normal times. The buy-ins range from $100 to $230. There are regular tournament series.

Rivers Casino Philadelphia poker room

The Rivers Casino Philadelphia poker room is home to 28 tables. The poker room is open 24 hours every day. 

All games are no limit Texas hold’em. Blinds are usually 1/2 or 1/3, though a larger game may break out if it is busy. There are five no limit Texas hold’em tournaments each week at the Rivers Casino Philadelphia poker room.

Rivers Casino Pittsburgh poker room

There are typically 30 tables at the Rivers Casino Pittsburgh poker room. It opens at 10am Monday through Friday. It closes at 6am Monday through Friday mornings. It is open 24 hours on weekends.

The main cash game is 1/3 no limit Texas hold’em with a buy-in of $100 to $300. Busier hours bring our larger no limit hold’em games, pot limit Omaha and some fixed limit tables. 

Tournaments are suspended at Rivers Casino. There were nine no limit hold’em tournaments every week before the pandemic. Buy-ins ranged from $50 to $125.

Wind Creek poker room

The Wind Creek poker room reopened in a temporary location on October 1, 2021. The Wind Creek poker room is being remodeled. It plans to reopen by 2022. The temporary poker room is located in front of the Table Game Salon. It is home to 26 tables.

The Wind Creek poker room is open 24 hours a day. It deals Texas hold’em and Omaha cash games. It does not deal tournaments.

Temporarily closed Pennsylvania poker rooms

Hollywood Casino Penn National poker room

The poker room at Hollywood Casino Penn National remains closed due to the pandemic. It hosted 16 tables when it was last open. It specialized in lower buy-in no limit hold’em cash games and tournaments. 

Presque Isle Downs poker room

The Presque Isle poker room in Erie remains temporarily closed. It was home to seven tables and specialized in small no limit cash games and tournaments. 

Pennsylvania online poker

There is a legal way to play poker from anywhere in Pennsylvania. There are four Pennsylvania online poker rooms.
